Your experience with selling on e-bay?

I'm selling a 24" BMX Cruiser there. Brand new it's >$500. I got it from a friend who is sponsored by the company for $100 but never rode it so am selling it starting @ $200.00. I haven't had any bids, but I have 15 "watchers" right now, with the auction ending in 1.5 days. I'm hoping the watchers will start bidding, but I dunno...does this usually happen to you guys?

I need some $$$$$!

If you have any friends with an ebay account, have them bid once or twice to entice the watchers...

I do it sometimes when items that should sell alot dont have a lot of bids coming into the final days...

unless you find a moron most people dont start bidding till around an hour or 2 left. That way the price doesnt get as high as it would.

i have around 40 feedback @ 100%...dont worry it will sell....

fyi for the future. start it at 99 cents and get someone else 2 bid on it for how much ever u want for it but dont make dem buy it( yes i know its called shill bidding stfu)...when u start it 4 more money they charge u money on top of the ending fee.

Most people wait. I do the same thing unless is a super buy and they got buy it now with no bidding. I have used the buddy system to kick start my sells to. I wouldn't worry about it though.

I've got a BIN price of $370. I should've posted this before putting it up on e-bay. Then I could've at least started low and set a good reserve. Lesson learned, I suppose.

34 hours and counting...

I'll just get my woman to bid on it.

She won't actually pay for it will she? I mean, I can act like she did if she were to accidentally win it, right?

E-bay's so weird, I just want to make sure they don't have any way to deter people from doing that.

I'm sure they actually encourage shill bidding

Reading Comprehension > you

I was asking, what deterrent do they have to make sure that a bidder pays for an item. Is it not up to the seller to make a report if the item is not paid for?
