You think I'll be happy?

I just stopped by the local boom shop and decided it was time to put some good sound in my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. Here's what is being installed on Saturday. I like to listen to pretty random music... Lorena McKinnet, KottonMouth Kings, Eminem, Pantera... you get the picture. I am in to quality, and not earth shaking boom.

Alpine CDA-9813

Alpine 12 disc changer

JL Audio 500/1 pushing a single JL 12w6v2 in a sealed enclosure

JL Audio 300/2 pushing a set of Diamond Audio s500s components

I've already paid for the install in full, so I hope I won't be let down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I dont think i can find a weak link in that system..very nice.I dont see how u could be dissappointed.I plan on lookin into the 12w6v2....And for the music u listen to(anything will sound good really) that system should be great.

I'm sure it will sound great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I really want that Alpine deck, just can't get it now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Let us know what you think sunday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh yeah, this set of components come with rear fill outputs. My back seat has a pair of 6x8 openings. Should I grab a set of MB Quart 6x8s and throw them back there for fill? I do not want anything that would detract from my front soundstage.

I was also thinking of running a set off of th H/U amp. Does anyone know if the fader section will fade between line level fronts and amplified rears? If so, is there a decent set of 6x8s out there that won't break the bank?

As you can see in my sig, I run much of what you are planning(although I run an eclipse deck and have no rear fill). I think you will be pleased. The 12W6v2 matched with the 500/1 is a very nice combination, imo.

I won't be running with rear fill either. It is just hard to give up the notion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I have never run a system without rear fill. There is a first time for everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, I got the system installed yesterday. Wow. It won't win an SPL competition, but it is perfectly clean as loud as I can comfortable stand it. This sub goes great with the Diamond audio components. The tambre of the Diamond soft dome tweeter hex components is nice, and with 150 Watts they can be splitting.

I was bumping the usual stuff when I pulled up to my mom's house this morning and she came out with a copy of Paul Simon's Rythm of the Saints. OMG the hand percussion out of these components has so much punch!!

I would reccomend a setup like this to anyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/driving.gif.c4dead4599dda895032b63e51f52b126.gif
