all that yellow glue is another adhesion joint that holds the cone to the voice coil former.

That ish is annoying when u have a loose dustcap. I just went ahead and pealed mine off. Havent got around to glueing them back on

CA glue on dustcaps is retarded IMO...Goop is where its at. Goop will hold long after a CA'd dustcap gives up the ghost, and it doesn't leave that white residue from the accelerator

i was VERY careful with my goop application for the Fi caps i put on.

very little 'squeeze-out'. it is almost un-noticeable except in a few spots, but it is clear.



if it does squeeze out, do not try to peel it off or anything like that. it will turn more opaque and whitish and look terrible!

but it is VERY strong.

with the thick ABS dust cap and goop, i'm pretty sure i could pull apart the cone/spider/surround before the dust cap would come off.

Actually i am using my subs. I've been told by a number of people (local install shop, and a few members on the forums) that it shouldnt do any harm. And it keeps dust out. I havent been using it long and plan on fixing it soon, just been way too busy lately
