Just checking in and wanted to say hello.

I'm here to read reviews and get a bit of knowledge before I redo my stock 4Runner speakers and add a sub.

Yeah I know pretty boring.

Just want to hear everything a bit better, I'm not looking to compete or wake the neighborhood.

Recently upgraded to an Alpine INA-W900, I'm very pleased with it but the stock speakers sound lousy.

Dealer/Friend has recommended Focal 165 VRS components for the front and 165 CVX for the rear.

Power via 2 Alpine PDX amps. Still deciding on one 12 or two.

Sub Recommendations?

Sealed or ported?

Mainly jungle and breakbeats but hip hop, rock, and metal are all on the menu.

I want it heavy, but tight not sloppy.

What I mean is I don't want the bass to overpower the mids and highs. I'm only going with a 600watt mono amp and 150 to each door, so I don't think I'll be rattling windows or setting off car alarms.
