yikes!

ive been hearing cracking sounds coming from my av area for the past couple of months i thought it was the tv stand so i bought the new one and i still heard something my girl said it was just me going nuts

WRONG!

i heard something crack kind of loud and thought to myself my girl is right im going nuts! then 30 seconds later or so BAM the center channel comes falling down behind the tv im like dam all kinds of things are gonna break i see the tv go forward fast and i start thinking god dam it, its gonna fall it stops about 1 inch off the edge and im like god dam it the back of the tv is gonna be all broken but no cracks that i can see and only one little ding on the end cap of the center channel

all in all im trying to figure something out now i cant buy another one of those center channel stand things cause now i know they cant hold a dam thing!

well what do you think of this idea

i push the tv back its about 18 1/2 inches deep the stand is about 24 1/2 the center channel is about 13 inches deep

pus the tv back till it hangs from the back about 5 inches and put the center channel on teh stand to?

i had it like that with my old tv stand and the the htib center channel with the tv hanging from the back and i doubt it will fall back since it will be right up againts the wall like it was before

You would do that...

I never liked my center channel above my head too far. Makes it seem like the sound is coming from behind the TV and not from the TV...

Am I seeing that correctly? Looks like medium guage perforated sheet metal. I would think it would need some serious decoupling from the speaker to avoid resonance. Reminds me of the flimsy speaker stands that are sold at big box retailers. I ****ing hate flimsy audio stands/racks.

Not trying to dump on you, just the design of the ****ed thing.

yah now that it is on the tv stand it sounds "different" then before. i do notice an ish load more bass from the center channel but not muddy at all but the rest i dunno i think it needs to be a little higher might have to dump my tv and get a small lcd and a projector.,
