Yet another box design thread

Well I need alittle help because this is my first box that I am going to build. I have a design already done, but I was wanting to see from you if yall have one better.

The dimensions I need to stick by are 21'' width by 16'' high and I need 3cubes with a port tuned to 36hz. This is for a 15'' atomic quantum. Any help is much appreciated.

Tuning Frequency: 43 Hz

Port Width: 2.5 inches

Port Area: 36.25 Square Inches

Port Length: 12.75 inches

External Dimensions: 21 wide x 16 tall x 27.5 deep.

Board Dimensions and Quantity

Color Count Width Height

Top and Bottom 2 21 inches 27.5 inches

Red 1 17.75 inches 14.5 inches

Yellow 1 26.75 inches 14.5 inches

Black 1 19.5 inches 14.5 inches

Green 1 27.5 inches 14.5 inches

Teal 1 10.75 inches 14.5 inches

This is what I got off of the free ported subwoofer plans site, but I wasnt for sure that it was right

A.) Why do you want such a high tuning frequency and

B.) You need more port area...

Thats the specs I got from atomic on the quantum, and yeah the port area is one of the things that didnt look right to me. Could you suggest a good tuning. I will probably be running 1200 watts to it if that helps.

I wouldn't tune it above 38hz. More like 34ish.

Something is wrong with that calc: (it ussually is pretty close)

Try something more like this:

Width= 21.00 inches

Height= 16.00 inches

Depth= 26.75 inches

Port Length= 30.95 inches

Slot Vent Width: 3.25 inches

Wood Thickness: 0.75 inches

That would be 3 cu/ft @ 34Hz assuming .10 cu/ft driver displacment.

Sorry, I have never really drawn out plans for anything like this, so how exactly would I go about caculating the dimensions for each piece of the box.
