YAY! To Judge Ruling Against ID Being Taught In Science Class

I also agree with the ruling.

In fact I think its almost ridiculous to even compare evolution to creationism/ID.

One is a theory, the other is a belief. Apples and Oranges right?

Heh, jesus got pwned.

ID has no place in the public school system as science. Could it be taught as an elective social studies class? I guess, but then why not have prayer as an elective? School is to learn how to read, write, and reason, and teaching that God must have be responsible for everything because humans and animals are so complex is rediculous. This is the classic Christian view of "we can't explain it, so God did it" Science is about proof, and theorys and rules are revised constantly as new info comes to light, when is the last time Christianity was revised to reflect the world as we know it now compared to how it was in the year 0? If parents want kids to know Intelligent Design, they should teach it instead of having that extra glass of merlot. This is obviously creationisim relabled and it's nice to see the court system get something right for a change.

u need scientific methods to prove both evolution and ID. if u just used the bible to prove ID, you'll get owned each time. macroevolution can't be repeated also. nobody saw evolution or ID happen.

Provable or not, a theory is a theory. It's not about creationism itself, but rather to teach children to blindly accept what is taught to them without things like creativity or indepenent thinking to get in the way. Change is slow, so they make the people asking for it even slower. These aren't the times to be dealing with more questions. What they can stifle in schools is one less thing to worry about in the future. The ultimate student. The ideal citizen.

But ID still relies upon this so-called "intelligent being", which is what leaves it unable to EVER be a scientific theory.

We can't "reproduce" it on a large scale. But we can still scientifically test the theory of evolution.

While I do consider that funny, I can deffinetly see people getting VERY offended by that.

LOL tree house...

the idea of an intelligent being can be scientifically tested. sure it can, i just don't know how, but it's been going on for a long long time.

ur right on the second part. but don't forget, we can also scientifically test the theory of ID also. testing the theory of ID using ONLY the bible or koran or the torah or another religous book= ownage

You can not scientifically test ID. It relies on an intelligent being, which can neither be proven nor disproven by creating a hypthesis and testing that hypthesis. And it can not be used to predict the outcome of future experiments. It is beyond the realm of physics and the universe. Hence, not science......EVER.

i can't agree nor disagree with this.

scientific experiments can't guarantee the outcome of future events. they can tell what should normally happen though. ID is not beyond the realm of physics and the universe. one needs physics, astronomy, geology, cellular biology, chemistry, dna research, etc, to make a case for ID. without those things, ID loses.
