Just got a pair for free... Anyone know if these are decent speakers? Says "Nominal 40w, Music 80w " on them lol wtf is that???

i believe what they mean by nominal is a consistant tone or note. Music is not constant and not as much work so to say as a constant tone. I think you can give them 80rms unless you are burping your mids. lol

I agree, but I might not be 100% correct. I have been in the audio game for a while and hook my own shit up pretty well if i dont say so myself, but still couldnt teach too much to anyone. I have seen walls with enormous numbers of "mids" that did pretty well on a TL so its definitely possible

Yamaha has been out of car audio (at least here in the US) since the early 90's, finding anything out about them is probably next to impossible.

yea i found that they were produced between '89 and '92 but other than that, idk anything bout them. i never personally heard anything yamaha b4, not even home theatre
