I really like how everyones opinons suddenly changed as soon as Zane mentioned that he liked sony equipment. I personally don't like it that much, but it really isn't bad, a friend of mine is using sony amps and they have a bad habit of cutting out (No gains aren't high). Granted their subs are not good, there are worse, i can promise you that.

Well...first of all, it's just an opinion shared by most. The reason Sony gets blasted is because most people hard heard JL's, Eclipses, RE, Brahma, Idmax, Kicker, RF(higher series), and various other subs including Sony. Since you haven't heard any of these subs, it's hard for you to compare the Sony to them. I have 2 12W7's and i have listened to Sony's....and they aren't even in the same galaxy as the W7's......trust me, listen to some of the subs i have listed...and then you too will join the Sony suckes bandwagon....

I have a sony amp, it does everything its supposed to, doesn't clip, doesn't get hot, gets the wattage it says it should, so people please quite saying all and everything of sony sucks just because thier subs aren't good.

as a matter of fact my first system was two 12" sony p5s. I loved these speakers at first but after about a month and a half they just stopped working don't know why. So I took them to some caraudio shop so they could check the wiring due to it was my first install and they said the wiring was ok. Never really found out what was wrong with them probably the voice coils melted. Thats why sony sucks in my opinion
