What do you mean you dont think? Have you ever heard one? Can any one really say Hey I actually own a XXX and am running this much power and it sounds good with so and so power. Nope never seen anyone comment on it that actually owns it.I don't think that 600-700 would be enough either.
alright, usually i don't get mad when people reply, and that may not have been directed at me, but by using the word people i feel it wasWhat do you mean you dont think? Have you ever heard one? Why do people who never heard one say crap? Gee this guy said his friend has a friend who knew this guy who heard... Bull cr@p.
Can any one really say what this friggen sub can and can't do.
Soak all that up...
I don't think he was being a dick, I think he was trying to be sure that the original poster had straight facts by relying on the word of those who have actually used/owned/heard a XXX instead of the people sitting behind their computer speculating //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Therefore, I agree with triger. Speak up if you have used the sub with the amount power in question, otherwise sit down and shut up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gifalright, usually i don't get mad when people reply, and that may not have been directed at me, but by using the word people i feel it wasso yes, i have used that much power on a xxx, and yes i own a xxx, and yes i've used 1500 on the xxx......
if you want to be a dick, get your facts straight first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif
what kinda box is good for a 12" xxx? I would assume these things get louder than a d2 15 in the same size box. I really only wanna sacrifice 2 cu. ft ported to maybe 28hz. But i just say the xxx/brahma would get louder cuz i'd give it a more powerful amp (bx1500d vs. tsunami 1100db/bx1000d for the d2) yeah? I just wanna make sure my money's well spent this time.
Not directed towards anyone really thats why I used people. :thumbsupwalright, usually i don't get mad when people reply, and that may not have been directed at me, but by using the word people i feel it was

Why would you turn your gain up so high? With my BX1500D turned down, say its getting 500w, the sub barely moves. Another 1/5 turn, and a little more.. lets say thats 750w. 3/4 of the way up, say 1300w, its moving, but can still take more.

Not to mention, power handling is determined by box size and style. So, this post is really only useful if we know what kind/size box it was in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifBottom line is, if there isnt at least 1200wrms, they are not even close to their potential.
