They discontinued the older version because they redesigned them and are coming out with a new version.

i just recently got my two 15 inch SXs and they came with a pamphlet showing all the new stuff. RE really needs to update their website. i had heard of the MX but never seen it and the new XXX has to be the sexiest sub ive ever seen. im curious to hear one though cuz alot of things have changed. rubber surround, single magnet (like 11 1/2 inches across) and no 12 spoke basket. looks beefy as hell. probably gonna take like 2000w to get it goin. it uses the 3 inch VC though so maybe im wrong about the power. either way, it is much anticipated.

I still haven't even seen a clip on the xxx, only the mx. I also wanted to see what people think about the new model. There is a pair of 15's on the forum bnib w/ warranty I think he wants $800 which was normal price before they were discontinued.
