XXX vs germanium

The XXX Subwoofers were all the rage, The XXX comps were too i guess. But they are complete garbage.

i think only the tweeter is neo...not the mids

The mids are Neo.

I heard some Germaniums last week. They did seem very nice, but better than the new XXX series components.... Im not so sure about that.

I am biased though. lol

The GERMS are clearly your choice then. XXX mids are only useful for SPL. And sound incredilby MUDDY. They have also not proven themselves in any way to be a superior SPL Midwoofer.

Not trying to start a fight, seriously... just saying that they weren't made strictly for SPL. You don't make a mid with a really high xmax for sheer output. I have read that they don't sound too great though and I agree with you that the Germs would be a much better choice.

No, i understand what you're saying. I was simply stating that the only thing i would use them if i wanted something really loud with little consideration into SQ. At any rate, you are correct.

i think your mistaked that you only heard the drivers because as far as i know they havent been selling the neo drivers long at all, maybe even just been out at CES 2007, i mean unless you went to CES and all.

i really been waiting for the XXX set to come out since when i bought my MX 9 the first one bought) and kinda have kept a close eye on them waiting for them to come out so i can get some reviews so i can justify spending the money on them over using my current germanium set
