XXX ohms

well took out my XXX to make sure everything was wired right, and checked ohms on coil to make sure they were fine, well both coils read 2.5/2.6, its supposed to be a dual 2 ohm, i want to know did it come from RE like that or did it alter it self?i never checked the coils when i put it in because i forgot to, when in parallel it read 1.5 ohms , i wanted 1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif , so for the gain setting should i base it on 1.5 ohms instead of 1, even thogh its gonna have imdependance rise in box, but should i use 1.5 ohms for gain or 1? the coils arnt going out are they?

That's DCR you're measuring...2 ohms is the "nominal" value, because the impedance changes depending on cone position.

Leave it. The nominal value is the one that's the most accurate, as it takes into effect the entire range of impedances as the driver is in motion.

I wouldn't say nominal is the most accurate. Generally is just the closest whole number to actual impedance when the cone's in its neutral state (centered). Actual speaker impedance is dependant on frequency, so there is no over all average frequency for a speaker, it depends what its playing. Nominal impedance is basically used for advertising, and component matching.
