lol, i saw the header and i thought this was going to be about some porno game for the xbox. anyways, sounds fine, all except for the alt. considering each amp makes 1000W, that's around 100A draw for each amp, max. and a 160A alt should make around 80A at idle, and considering the car takes about 10A just to run, you have about 70A to work with. if your going to be competing, you will definately have a lack of power. even if your not competing, your lights might still dim. i'm not sure though, since i don't know what amps ur using and whatnot. but anyways, if your lights do happen to dim, u can always get your alt rewound or just get a new one

sounds good to me. but definity you'll be having some power problems iff you dnt upgrade your alternator.. and i sure do hope your not thinking of a CAP or something like that. other than that you are good. 1000W on each sub WOW! are you competeing?

No, I'm not going to be competeing.

I would love to upgrade my amps to run closer to the rms of my subs....lack of funds.

Perhaps when I get to know a little more about this stuff I'll run the lanes.

About the alternator....

The 160amp alternator was going to be my upgade.

I had a Rockford 1000bd and 400.4 along with a Audiobahn cap and a yellow top battery (trunk) running off of my factory alternator. With all this I had no problem with my electrical system at all.

What I wanted to do was....

Take the yellow top out of the trunk ( I don't think I will have room with my new box to keep it in the trunk) an replace the factory battery with it. Upgrade the factory alternator to the 160amp alternator from Mr.Alternator.com

And probally ditch the caps, they're digital and I did like knowing the volts my system was running. They also had a nice neon blue glow that lit up my car.

This wouldn't work?
