Xxx 15"

I wish my back seat folded down...I would be able to fit it thru the back of my car if I took out my back seats and the amps that are mounted in there...

I think building the box inside the trunk will be a little easier than taking out my back seats altogether, eitehr way it will **** tho

with the way my trunk is I would have to have like 2 boxes that are both 2ft^3 or somethin, other than that Im stuck building inside of it...

bump

looking for suggestions from people that have done trunk builds...

I wanted to glue everything, just like my last box, its tight as can be, even the screws have glue down in their holes lol...

but I figure with the trunk build I would be safer off to just do a bead of silicone around the inside once I get everything put together and before I put the port pieces in it, I figure this way if I do need to take it apart to get it out of my trunk then I can easily break off the silicone compared to the glue...

only other downside is Ill be without a sub for a couple days...or atleast one while the silicone cures

anyways if u can help me out and point me in the right direction of what to do and what not to do

Yer really going to love that sub...
Yeh I was also annoyed that RE doesn't have an archive of the TS and mounting parameters for older subs, like our XXX's. I had to call them to get info.

Only annoying thing about my XXX is occasional tinsel slap, but only audible from the trunk... I may need to replace the pad on the cone... but getting the sub out of the box = a serious chore.

old website, still exists.

Could try a 2 piece box....i had to do that twice in my Civic when i put my XXX 15 in

Or face it up so you can cut down on the height.....my trunk opening is only 14in and i got a few in their all 15s

I would have considered kind of building 2 boxes together but I have already cut all my MDF

and in my case I dont believe firing the sub up would help at all, my trunk opening is just horrid, but thanks for the recommendations

Ive also heard firing up can be bad for some subs over time, Ive never done it myself so I dont actually know
