I plan on trying to fit a 5ft^3 box in my car, thats already gonna take some work to fit it in there, I just hope its a big enough box for it since I think most of the time people use like 8ft^3 and 10ft^3 for those...

I figured like 5ft^3 at 32hz since my subsonic filter is fixed at 30hz

any suggestions would be appreciated. I plan on starting to build the box today because I want this box done before the sub gets here =)

Congrats....as an xxx 15 owner, I'll be the 1st to say, you will be blown away by the power of that thing!!! Now, My bos is between 4-4.5 cubes, and thats perfect. I guess 5 cubes will be ok, but I cant even imagine anyone uses 8-10 cubes.....never even heard of that. Even the RE site says 4.5 ported is optimal. Either way, good luck, and enjoy. Any chance, you won that xxx @ that ebay auction that just ended? If so, good deal!!

yea you dont wanna put it in a 8 cube box.

my friend is running a xxx in 4 cubes tuned to 29hz and its a just stunning what that sub can do.

8 cubes is probably for the 18" version

yea I just won it, I had to use my friends ebay account because they deleted mine like last week cuz I hadnt used it in probably over a year lol

it was on the last like 8 minutes when I saw it and I was freaking out cuz I didnt have an ebay account when I needed it and I was talkin to my friend and he let me use his, I kept refreshing the page and it had like 8 seconds left when I put my last bid in to win :X

Yea 5 cubes is too much, refine the box a bit.

5ft^3 is too much even if I only have like 1600watts rms to give it? I figured 5ft^3 would make up for the power difference since I dont have a ton of power yet

I will probably be upgrading my amp again soon. After I replace my H/O alternator again since it just died a couple weeks ago

altho 4.5ft^3 would be even better so I didnt have to fight as much getting it into my trunk

I figured I would just use one of moe lesters plans for the box unless anybody disagrees with that

this is the old style or new xxx? why is it you never see any of the new xxx's bigger than a 12, i thought they were supposed to be releasing the 15's and 18's shortly after, its been over a year...

Wasnt me bidding on it, but I watched to see what it went for. That thing is brand new, so you got an AMAZING deal!!!!!

Mine is in a 4+ cube box, and w/ only 1650rms watts, hit a 145.4 in my trunk car......now I have the orion 2500d(2500) watts hooked to it, and am right @ 148 w/ it, so it'll be insane for you. Id go around 4.5 cubes, and it will destroy!!!!!!!!

I dont know what you mean about not seeing any new style xxx over 12", but they've been out....if you're talking about the '06 models, that kinda have the shape of an egg.

Nah...........its def not an '06.....not for that price. The cheapest '06 I've seen is around $650

I meant his is new, because FI REBUILT THE whole THING.
