im gonna throw them in a 1.25 cube sealed box and set my gains with a DMM ill see what happens then...

turn down your gain and/or bass boost. btw I'm using the same amp.

didnt make that sound in the smaller sealed box so im just gonna wait on make a nice small ported box.... im sure that will fix the problem

play it LOW power freeair to see if you still have that problem.

if so, it needs a recone.

ok so it is apparent that i need new boxes... will play them free air tommorow to see if that clicking sound happens... now all i need is some box ideas.... anyone here have some good box sizes/tunings to use with these subs at high power?

yeah... definitely test free-air with low power... (to eliminate the box as a possible cause)
if the sound continues, try a different amp (maybe hook it up to your home stereo)... (to eliminate the amp as a possible cause)

if the sound continues then the only constant variable is the subs... meaning they need recones...

really? that seems freakin huge... wouldnt a bigger box make the over excursion problem worse?
