The new US AMPS, 2006 AX Series, using Multiple Link Technology that allows AX amplifiers to be strappable/linkable, in parallel, for more current and for lower ohm stability, in series, for higher output voltages. Once connected, slave amplifiers don’t even need the gains to be adjusted; the master amplifier controls all functions of the slave units and insures that all have identical signal. A switch on the circuit board allows one to designate amplifiers as slave or master units. In master mode, another switch is activated for “in phase” or “out of phase” operation. One master placed “in phase,” with a few slave amps, can be bridged with another master and its’ slave amps, if switched “out of phase.”
