xstatic batcap model 300

i just got a xstatic batcap model 300 it is 70% cap and 30%batt it is 100 farad i got it off of ebat i really don't know how to hook it up was this a good invesment i know a friend of mine that have one and his light do not dime or anything and it made his subs hit harder i just need some more info on this item
