XS Power D3100 up front is it possible?

Planning on putting one in the engine bay of a 2005 Impala. I already have a D3400 and that one slips right in. Can it be done without modifications?

Why? Id just put the d3100 in the trunk. The d series batteries werent made to be under the hood.

only real way to know is measure, it may take some slight modding though. they are big bastards.

If the battery is still good, there's no point of changing it.

It's possible to put the d3100 in the front.

I don't know how much battery space you have up front.

-I could fit a d3100 in my car (Toyota Corolla 2009) but I had to move a couple of stuff so I went a step down and got a d2400 and called it a day.

I would put it at the trunk, but if you're really insisting in putting it under the hood go ahead.

Rather than us trying to guess if it fits, go and check the measurements just like Phoenix mentioned.

I thought d series were for underhood or trunk

And the xp series was not for underhood use .....????

My d3400 works fine under the hood. I did some research and its not much different than their S series batteries. I just measured and it doesn't look like it can fit without some fabrication. Just wondering if I would need a new d3400 up front if I install a new d3100 in the back (not good to mix new with old)

if they're both fully charged and both running well, then you should probably have no problem running both batteries.

and fitting battery under hood just depends on what space you have under there.

I wasn't sure how big of a batt I could fit in my hood, but I managed to fit a kinetic 2400 almost with no mods (just had to get new battery tie downs). the kinetic 2400 is pretty much the exact same size as the d3100.

also d series works under hood as well. xp series is only meant as supplemental battery.

Sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone know what battery can fit in a 2004 Toyota Corolla? I know a XS D5100 can fit under my hood but will anything stronger fit without modification? Like D3400 or D2400?
