local shop has been selling kinetic for over 6 years and probably one of the best shops in ne cleveland. they are currently tryig to get xs power batteries in their shop now.

q is, im looking for a battery to replace my standard one. maybe Kinetik HC2400-BLU

or a xs power one.

is there any batteries that can totally replace a oem battery? without needing a 2nd batery to help out.

I will say that Kinetik batteries are ok. Xs Power batteries are better but cost a bit more. They perform better then Kinetik's. I personally have never had issues with kinetik batts but if you ask most audio guys they will say no, go XS power, Northstar etc..

Honestly if you can find one to fit the size you need, id go with a Deka agm or something like it. They are usually cheaper then Kinetik, NS, and XS. If you have a O'reilly's you can get a Superstart fleet/heavy duty Agm pretty cheap new

my girl works for conrads. sooo are the batteries they sell suitable? if not i was thinking xs but i dont mess with any other shops around here except for one. and they dont stock xs as of yet.

i have a 140 alt. big 3 done with standard oem battery on a brx series amp. on 2 xr12's gave the gain down a little bit so im not maxing out my bank.

thinking about getting 1 extra big bat that way i dont need a isolator. im sure the voltage is different from big agms than oem batteries.

are the dekas comparable to xs or kinetik? looking to just replace my oem with 1 good one. and after taxes figure out if i want to add a smaller ah batt for head room

i mean honestly kinetik will be fine if thats what they sale.

we own two Kinetics no issues ever but I have been told by many XS is the way to go so if you can afford it get XS but I can attest personally to Kinetic.

I don't know of any AGM's that load test better than XS.

However, you can get more for your money with "rebadged" generic AGM batteries. My battery bank is five Exide group 49's.

eh, dunno what to get. i like the idea of maybe getting a 2 good agms for the price, but if i can get 1 xs that will out do 2 agms for the price and ah i might go that route. anyone sell xs here? are they internet sale prohibited?

Two generic AGM's will out perform one XS battery. You can buy them all over the internet. Look on Sonicelectronix even.

If you're not limited on space, I wouldn't spend extra money on a "car audio" branded battery

well. i think the highest bat i can place in stock location in trunk under floor board in the spare tire well is 8 inches at the most. but i do have room to throw 2 agms possibly behind the wheel well on top of the board and will not restrict me from opening the floor to remove spare tire as well. thats about it. no room in the engine bay for a bat period.

You can buy XS batteries on a ton of online sites
Amazon.com: XS batteries

XS Power Batteries at the SSA Store | XS Power

XS Power Car Batteries & Power Cells | Car Batteries & Power | Car Audio Accessories & Installation | Car Audio, Video & GPS at Sonic Electronix

I just got a X2 agm from batteries plus. Very happy with it.
Those are sweet batteries as well (X2 power series is a rebadged Northstar battery)

XS is virgin lead. So is NorthStar and Odyssey.

Kinetik is not (except for the HC Pro made by NorthStar.... they outsource their top of the line battery, hmm). Deka is not. That doesn't mean they aren't good batteries, but they can't hold a candle to the discharge rate and life span of the 3 stated above.

I'm a dealer for multiple brands of batteries, and XS and NSB come out on top. NSB tends to be a little cheaper with a better warranty and made in the USA, but XS has more size options and you're supporting a true audio brand that sponsors shows and such.

yea i was looking at some odyssey's since another member on the forum was running one of those in his charger as well. seemed to fit n the stocl location in the trunk as well. but sheesh its almost $450
