Yup, the Xplod needs to go. If you're on a tight budget, you might want to look into Profile amps. Very reliable budget amps.

That amp will give you almost 500 at 4 ohms bridged. Can't beat it for $85 brand new. Some of the best budget amps out there

Not at all sketchy. They're cheap because people equate them with flea market brands like power acoustik. But the profiles actually work and put out pretty close to rated power. Like I said, some of the best low-budget amps out there.

I have an Alpine CDA-9831 I don't need anymore. 3 sets of preouts, time correction, I think a 4 or 5 band EQ, plays CD-Rs, MP3s, whatever. I have an iPod hookup I'd throw in as well. Let it go for $150 shipped

It's only rated for 200w at 4 ohms and 335 at 2 ohms. And I highly doubt it puts out rated power. You'd be lucky to get 275 out of it. The guy who owns it has no idea what he's talking about. If he did, he wouldn't have bought a Legacy.
