As some of you may know i bought a Kicker CVR and i love it, but i hate my amp.

It overheats so much, even with the new box. I have my gians down. The only thing i can think of is the cable. I think it's 12-16 guage going from amp to terminal, but terminal to sub is 8. I dont want to buy a new amp, i know this one sucks, but i think it should at least power this ONE sub fine.

it's not your speaker wire.

for one, what impedance are you runnin the sub at. depending on the impedance you could be stressing the amp out which can be causing it to heat up.

oh yea, one crucial part of the equation. Im running it at 4ohms.

im running 4 guage into a distro block and 8 guage to the amp, and back to a distro block and 4 guage to the ground

because i have two amps. And then they run to a distro block, and then to 4 guage ground. So i only need one grounding. it goes like this

+--4 guage--distro block---8guage--2 amps---8guage--distro block---4 guage--ground

you have a seperate distro for ground and power?? you don`t have the actual ground going from one amp to the other then grounded to the car do you.?? couldn`t really understand what you said last

I have ONE grounding spot. But both amps are grounded to it. It's hard to explain i guess. Its hooked up properly. POWER CABLE IS 8 guage.....

He has 2 distro blocks, one for power and one for ground. Not that hard to figure out.

If you're going to criticize other people for using the wrong version of your/you're, perhaps you should learn the difference as well. And learn where the **** apostrophe is on the keyboard

i have it right now wherei want it. It isn't clipping and i can hear it in the car. If i turn them down anymore, then i can't hear it inside the car....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif i think i just need a new amp. This one doesn't have enough power for my aplication, plus it's shit...
