i dont know anybody that has this and i havent heard anybody really talk about it yet. does anybody here have it or know anybody that does have it?? how good is it? im thinking about getting it.

can you be more specific? why is it so great? how clear are the stations? i listen to hip-hop/rap....how many good stations are there that play that kind of music? are there commercials or just non-stop music? does it sound just as good as a cd does?

There is probably 5/6 hip hop stations. The top 20 station plays a lot of hip hop. Reggae, Rock, Alternative........Basically every type of music imagineable. I listen to the comedy channel all the time, 24/7 stand up comedy, it's awesome. Sound quality isn't quite CD, but that's only when you're parked and car isn't on. When you're driving though and have the masking of road and wind noise, you probably won't hear a difference between XM and CD. Only about half of the channels have commercials. But it's nothing like FM, you never even notice the commercials. It's no big deal.

Go to http://www.xmradio.com and you can sample a lot of their stations. If you buy it, you will not be disappointed, I promise........Oh and the Playboy has a channel now too, I haven't subscribed yet, it's an additional 2 or 3 bucks a month.

haha what are they gonna play on the playboy stations???? ***-noises??? is some girl gonna sit there and talk dirty to you???now that station would be worth the extra $2 if XM radio came with a tv screen and was like playboy channel.

but anyways....thanks alot bean, ill check out their site and see what i think of it....but from what you have said, i believe i might get it. Thanks.

i was kinda thinking about getting xm, but i don't drive that often. isn't there some monthly fee? and then isn't all the equipment to use it expensive?
