Hi, first time poster here.
I am wanting to get feedback on everyone's experience with installing aftermarket receivers that are XM Ready and take the plug-n-play connection from an XM Mini Tuner with Dock.
I purchased a new Clarion CX609 receiver which is XM Ready as described above, but the XM tuner would only play for about 5 seconds at a time each time it was plugged in. However, when I took the dock and mini tuner into the house and connected it to another XM Ready receiver, it played fine for hours. It appears my Clarion receiver may be defective. I called Crutchfield to exchange it. I just wanted to see if anyone else is having good luck with XM Mini Tuners attached to car receivers?
Also, it seems like the XM Mini Tuner gets very warm while in use. Is this normal?
