here's what i think with XFL

you start with kicker subs , you move yup to 600w subs like sundown skar etc.. then you move up to the bigger boys XFL after xfl is where you go with the major upgrade 18's, ZVX's 2k subs etc...

in summary XFL is on a totally different platform as SA in terms of sound and structure. you are getting more when you get an XFL

To be honest, unless you've heard both subwoofers in the same box in the same vehicle on the same power, you can't exactly judge which subwoofer is 'better' than the other. To be honest, I'll be they compete pretty close to each other.

I got my SA-15 for $180, LNIB. Now, if I can get a SA-15 for $180 and an 12" XFL for $195, it's obvious which one I'm going with. However, both new, given that they perform similarly, I'd say the XFL is probably going to be your better deal.

Specs alone will tell you its different and yes I have heard both, xfl 3 inch voice coil compared to 2.5, xfl is 1000watts rms compared to 600watts rms.

if you want to compare SA , it should be with obsidian, skar vvx, and all other 600watts, 2.5 voice coil. that is what i meant

I'm down. i decided to order the components and crossovers yesterday first so I can get that set up first, then this friday when i get paid let me order a 12.

and as far as the sa v.s the xfl they always get similar reviews from all the places I've looked at and that says alot more for the sa than the xfl. but when i comes down to it, the fact that the voice coils are different sizes like naughtyca said i'd rather go with the bigger one. cus bigger is always better...
