Just hooked up my newly acquired Xenon 600.1, and am dissappointed, but it is hopefully user error.

It does not put out ANYWHERE near the 821 the performance sheet says. I'd guess the sub is getting 75 watts at best.

I've played with the subsonic, low pass, bass boost, and finally gains. Even all the way up, the sub doesn't move much. The sub is a Xenon 10d2, wired into a 4 ohm load for efficiency. I've boosted everything on the deck and to no avail. It is hooked up correct, as the sub controls control, well the sub.

I plugged a Sony Xplod amp into this same sub and had much better results, so what's wrong?

The only thing that confuses me is that there are 2 sets of +-'s instead of one, which I thought Mono blocks only had one. Even if I had to bridge, the output isn't correct.

My remote is an 18 gauge, Power is an 8 gauge, ground is a 4 gauge. RCA's are Rockford and the Distro block checks.

Heck, the 2 rear channels of my Audiobahn bridged is louder.

The separate + and – terminals are internally wired in parallel. They do this as an added feature. Say for example you want to run two subs off of one mono amp...You can wire one sub on the first outputs and the second sub on the other...

I would check your voltages. Check the voltage at the battery and at the amp. Next play some bass music or low test tones with the music up and test how much AC voltage you have at the amps output(with the sub wired)

As far as the Xe.load...that is an auto circuit that senses the ohms of the load and adjust the amp so that it produecs max power into 1, 2, or 4 Ohms. You just wire the subs normally.

Well, I'm running 14.3v constant under any load.

I reversed my wiring and I seemed to have gained some ouput. I also realized I had the volume down when I was tuning, so that didn't help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Anyways, I still feel it is a little underpowered. I guess I'll go around the block and see whaqt's going on.

do you have a "Subwoofer" or "Amp Gain" control on your headunit?

also just wire your sub to the left or right side of the terminals... dont bridge it as stated above it bridges internally

K guys, you can officially flog me:blackeye:

I had volume at 10 of 62, wires reversed and the subsonic cutting off anything under 55 Hz. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif N00b mistakes, I was just in a rush to hear it run rather than set it correctly.

Well anyways, I have it fixed, it's running untuned but with no bass boost and 80 Hz X-over. The thing is real nice and punchy, and sounds exactly like I wanted the sub to since I set the system up in my mind months ago. Minus the box hitting my strut tower and making a tiny bit of rattling, and of course the 30 other rattles I have to pinpoint, I am very pleased with it.

Now to wear it in for a week, and open it up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif :yumyum:
