Xcon 15

chances are if your looking into getting this sub you have already researched quite abit and chances are ur asking a rhetorical question.

No need to push it past rms ratting. For normal listening, or any daily driving, there is no real advantage to push it past it's ratting. Put an unclipped 500 -1750 watts on it if you like and it will be right at home. There is a stigma on line with higher ratted sub woofers that their rms ratting is just there for shiggles and not worth paying attention to. The very few Xcon's that failed have all been user abuse. Like any other driver, when run at 12/10th's you are just shortening it's life very quickly.

this! 2200 watts for example even in a perfect world only good for an extra .5 or so from 1750, not even audible. The heat created will be ALOT more though and you'll probably break the sub in long term usage.
