I've been doing some reading but there is just so much information, i just want feedback from our forum. I know that there are mods that you can do to your 360 to play burned games. Where i get lost is that some say that they can play online with the burned copies and not get ban but others have said that they have been banned from xbox live for the burned copies. How many on this forum played burned games on xbox live? Also, which mod method is most effective? and easiest?

it just matters if microsoft catches you with burned games on xbox live.

To me, it's not worth it. I enjoy the cases (much like album art) and the thrill of buying a game and having fun with my purchase. Call me to honest if you will, but i enjoy it that way.

That being said...If they do catch you, most likely they ban your xbox (not your account) so you can never play xbox live on that xbox ever again, regardless of account or connection.

Makes it tough shit to sell it too because no one wants a banned xbox.

I've been thinking about it...i guess i'll just stick to the originals and buy the games off ebay or here. would it be better purchasing membership for a full year? Rather then a month to month thing? I'd rather have them just send me a bill through the mail.

only get banned if you get caught i buyem cause there aint no mess trying to download a good copy and there is no risk of geting a computer virus from a store

Overall it's cheaper to buy a year subscription.

They won't send you a bill in the mail. You either buy a subscription card from a store or use your credit card and punch in the info through Live.

buy the full year its cheaper in the end and dont have to worry about it runing out every year i belive they sell the cards at walmart and other stores so you dont need a credit card works like prepaid phone card

7 bucks for a 1 month card versus 50 for a 12 month card.

You do the math.

You can buy games on ebay and overstock.com if your looking for deals. It seems that every game here for Xbox is either the Marvel/Forza Pack, GoW or Halo...

Not the biggest selection.

Yea i just purchased halo 3 on ebay for 29. But yea i'm glad that i'm not really into gaming cause they do cost a lot of money like car audio. I bought my xbox 360 elite from my uncle for 250 cause he sells video games and consoles so i got it for the low low. He sells them for 400 i think since they cost 450 brand new for the elite. So if anyone wants one for 400, holla at me. he sells games also but they are kinda expensive too, he says that they sell it to him for 52 bucks a piece so he has no choice but to sell them for 60 w/o tax.

games and consoles don't get much of a MSRP vs. Retail price difference.

They are pretty much sold on cost...well I mean, except for games. They are just shit expensive to pay for the development.

And sometimes Xbox live has some pretty cool DLC (downloadable content) like add-ons for games, theme packs, TV shows, music videos, etc... for FREE. If you have an HDTV, you can get some decent high def stuff too free.
