xbox controller+computer?

I just came by some sweet xbox games for the computer and i was wondering if i could plug a 360 controller into my usb port.

anyone tried this?

if it doesnt work is there a way to make it work?

i was thinking more along the lines of a 360 controller because they are already usb.

there is a piece you can buy now for your wireless xboxcontrollers to work on your pc

i think i saw it at walmart for ~25
