xbox 360... sigh

Laugh all you want, but an XBOX 360 can be easily emulated now, on better hardware. A 9 year old PS2 still can't be readily emulated, and is even used as servers for some military branches. I own both and I'd say the online config of the XBOX is definitely better with team chat, and less host bouncing, but as far as hardware and reliability, the XBOX is eons behind the PS
Quoted for truth.

Thank you for your intelligent, well supported claims. I have now abandoned my allegiance and will immediately sell my Playstation equipment so that I can continue to add to my XBOX collection...

Oh wait, that's right; my XBOX is what's for sale on here...

On another note, I love my Xbox but I agree that a pc is the way to go. Upgradeable, Only has what you need, Infinite amount of games (read:Free/Cheap), and will always be able to outperform any console on the market.

These days, most PC games are ported from the xbox or PS versions, so massive computing power isn't really required anymore. Doubtful you'd need more than 4gb RAM, core i7 2.9, geforce 460 or 570 if you really think you need that, which you don't, 1 TB hard drive, decent mobo, 350-500 watt PSU and a case.. if you really shop smart, that could be done for $700-900 bucks or less... Get yourself a 360 or PS controller for PC and bam.. plus if youre installing to the hard drive, faster loading times, and in some cases, better gfx if the studio put some xtra settings in there for ya.

I may sell my xbox, if it wasn't for some games that are only xbox... for now.. and the arcade has some pretty rad xbox-only games

theres a new tos you can agree to on xbox.com it's working now. Anyone play bf3?

a 360 controller on a pc would be BA. Could I hook it up to a 1080p 42" tv?

yeah, you can hook the PC up to any HDMI TV, provided the video card supports it.. which any newer cards do... DVI or HDMI.. I would suggest HDMI if you want your sound to play through your tv. I dont trust ATI/AMD, so I only know that the newer nvidia cards support audio through their hdmi port.

as far as 360 PC controllers:

Home | Onza | Razer™ | For Gamers. By Gamers.™

its wired, but i love it way over the OG controllers.. better thumbsticks, mechanical buttons, programmable bumpers, I love mine.. only setback is a lot of their released versions ******, ive had to return one, but they honor their warranty no questions asked no matter how many times you send it back. I stick with it because I'm addicted to the better feel overall. Now whenever I pick up a regular 360 troller, i almost puke...

Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows: Video Games

that reciever allows you to use your already owned controllers with the PC... easy

i got some things you can check to see whats wrong ? is it laggy during games ? and taking forever to load up when you first start it . then try removing your hard drive and see if it don't load up super fast . i had the same problem replaced the hard drive now it runs like new again

i was playing mlb2k11 when my hard drive went out . the people were just standing in the batters box and the pitcher wouldn't become ready and it was taking like 5 minutes between pitches . i orginally thought it was my dvd drive did a little research and it turned out to be my hard drive . loaded the xbox without my hard drive in and and the 2-3minutes it was taking for my dashboard to show during boots loaded right away and the game played smooth . its just a thought but i can almost bet its that
