That happened to me on my first 360. Luckily I got the extended warranty from bestbuy as microsoft didnt have the 3 year warranty program going yet.

Bestbuy was pretty cool about it, they even let me keep my old harddrive so I didnt loose all my saves and content.

I just told them to keep the new one.

I have an extra warranty sticker I might be willing to sell, but if you have the x clamp I doubt ms would fix it, in fact ms sent mine back without the side grills **** them lol

Microsoft has a 3 year warranty for the 3 red lights.

I will just find one on Craigslist, I see people selling their broken 360 all the time, so i will just ask for the psu.

matter fact I was suppose to get a psu from someone on here I bought another 360 from, but he never responded back so I was sol. I cant remember his screen name but i am going to track him down again.

LOL I just got so pissed off after speaking with Microsofts automated helpline that hung up on me I smacked the PSU brick, The xbox kicked on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but I now have a new error code 0020

if you got the 0020 error code even after you replaced the x-clamp then you are doing the x-clamp worng. try tightening the screws a bit more.

I just fixed my release day xbox from RROD, First i put the screws too tight, then i had to loosen them, its all trial and error, its pretty frustrating, but just make sure the heatsinks sit as straight as possible, or else it will probably Red Ring.

Are you sure its fried? It took me a few hours to figure out the right alignment of the screws and heatsinks.

tis true.

keep messing with the way you have the x-clamp done. i recall the first 360 i ever messed with was an 0020 error and got it working. it died months later with constant stalls and random unknown errors. it's a simpsons one too. gonna blow that shit up eventually.
