OK I have done the Xclamp mod, towel, and heatgun. I still have the RROD.

My question is any of you have had the rrod and your fans not spin up? I just now noticed that my fans arent(never did) spinning at all while the red lights flash, it like tries to when I push the power button but immediately stops in a split sec, doesnt even make 1 revolution.

any help would be appreciated.

find out what the secondary code is for the reason of the rrod. it is possible that when you heat gunned it you did it improperly and caused further damage. i had a rrod 360 that the GPU/CPU wasn't receiving power which would of cost me 50 bucks to reflow/reball the cpu/gpu.. inspead i went and blew up the 360... lol

have you tried cleaning it out? my 360 was getting the RROD and i cleaned massive amounts of dust out of it and it worked again, then it started happening again probably from heat damage and the towel trick worked for a while, then it finally would not come out of the RROD no matter what i did. Might be time to get a new one.

its all clean, very clean. I wouldnt doubt now that its fried, however you havent answered my question. When your 360 red ringed, did your fans power on?

some have some haven't. i should have been more specific that the one that had the power issue the fan would jump on the initial turn on but would turn off like one sec later as soon as it hit the rrod.

haven't come across any... find the secondary code to pin point the ture issue.

do a google search about finding the secondary code.

you don't need the screen.

i didn't want to type this but urg.

turn on the 360. let it RROD.

when it's in RROD, press and hold the Wireless Sync button.

while holding the Sync button down press the the CD Eject button.

when you press the eject button it will change the rrod to a different number of flashing lights on the 360.

there are a total of 4 codes. or well, you have to press the eject button to find the 4 digits for the code. when you get the 4 digits the 5th time you press it will return it to it's RROD status.

1 light means #1

2 lights means #2

3lights means #3

4 lights means #0

find me what the 4 different codes are.

odd, last ram issue i had to heat gun the memory for a bit then it worked perfectly. try heat gunning just the memory. cover everything else. let it cool on it's own. don't use a hair dryer or a fan to cool it.
