if its a good employee yes they will check the serials....go on xbox.com register it. when you register it it will ask for the serial number....it will tell you if its under warranty or not....

when you send an xbox in for service they dont ask for proof of purchase or anything like that. so it really doesnt matter who is in possession of it when they send it in.

go there, you need to contact Microsoft regarding the warranty issue.

yeah its either that or go through a complicated process of replacing the dvd rom drive and flashing it with some number that is unique to every xbox 360

if its not under warranty.....they are under warranty from a year after purchase for any defects...its after the year thats when repairs cost money instead of rrod which is covered for 3 now.....

so to recap, if it break within a year no matter what theyll fix it....after a year rrod and its free...other repairs after year cost money.

Shipping is the only part not covered, if the defect is within the allotted warranty timeframe. Sans the RRoD.

why didnt they take the xbox when he got caught for stealing it cuz they arrested the dude i sold the ruger i stole for possesing stolen property an took the gun

i think its a little different when you steal a gun ha ha im guessing someone that is wanting to steal a gun isnt someone they want with a gun in the first place lol

hes not going to rob anyone at xbox point lol

the 360 is covered for 3 yrs, so its still under warranty. just contact MS and let them fix it.

He didnt get caught with it, he was videotaped leaving and they got his license plate. Took him to court for it and he paid retributions, they never asked for the equipment back. All in all, that was close to a 1500 dollar Xbox.

Also, to those that thought we could just buy another and return it, they scan the Serial on the actual 360. The box it comes in has a flap and they dont just scan the box, no they scan the xbox, so to replace it you would have to switch the cases. I think we are just gonna send the btch off and see what happens.

ok, so i just checked the website and it says that its within warranty until the end of this month. So that means they will fix everything for free correct?
