Xbox 360 problems

Ok, my friend has a 360 that has stopped reading discs. You can play all the demos, get on live, everything except play an ACTUAL game. Anybody know how the warranty on this works? Its not the rings of death, so not sure if its covered...

Also, im probably going to hear a bunch of bullsht about this, but its a stolen Xbox, however. He got caught for it, went to court, did community service and payed retributions, so my question is can i even send it into microsoft? I mean, its not like its missing from them, they know what happened with it and they were technically paid for it (retributions.)

Help me be able to play Halo 3!!!!!!!!

Well i havent personally done it, but he says it just shows up as an error? Not really sure, ill call him and see what he says..

if it does it for every disc then you might have to send it in to get worked on

ok, he says it will just spin and spin, then will say error with disc or damaged disc, something along those lines. Tried it with multiple discs, does the same thing.

Pull a swticharoo on it. buy one from walmart, put the new face on the old one and take it back in about a week or so. Why should you be stuck with a broken 360? They wont check it or fire it up. Just say that it froze up on you or something. Did it for a psp i bricked once. It works. Just dont tell them this story about it being stolen.

If they scan the serial number take the strip off the new one and put it on the old one.

you need to send it in. if you beat the xbox around a decent amount, the laser reader inside gets off allignment or something. ive had it happen to mine when i moved, i sent it into microsoft and they sent me back a new one after a month //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

lol wow i had a amp i put on ebay and linked to here with 1 cut wire and i had 50000000 people screaming its a stollen amp blah blah

and no one rags on u lol wow!!!

btw should have just baught my legit xbox one thing to remember what goes around comes back around so! its prolly never gonna work since its stolen!! lol

I dont know if that would really work, im pretty sure they check the serials on them, and the 360s have the fckin serial on every part it seems. I wish i still knew people that worked up there...

anybody see a problem with sending it in? Again, it was paid for in court techincally.

I figure it would be considered double jeopardy if they tried to get him for it, but im more concerned with them just keeping the box and saying fck off.
