XBOX 360 Day 1... Problems, need some ca.com 360 tech support

So i picked up a 360 yesterday ( with a 2 yr warranty , thank god ) with the madden bundle.. So i play madden quick to check it out then go to save profile to start a season and it says Not enough memory in HAard drive disc or something like that, so i try nhl 07 , same thing, so i check my HDD and i lost 8 Gb somewhere and i just opened it..

I know they load it with some crap but even after I delete the movies , music etc, id still only be up to about 16-17 GB ...

Any ideas? I know theres a few XBOX guys in here .. thanks

Actually 13gb is normal for the xb360 hard drives. The firmware they use takes up MASSIVE space for some odd reason. Still not sure why you cannot save games. Take it back and get another one..

Yea i see that now i have actual 14 GB free space, the rest is microsoft firmware i guess.. But still its pissin me off i cant even save it, since a profile is what ?? 200Kb

i did have one problem w/ it a while back and they sent me a new one for it. but other than that one issue never had any other issues w/ it. the problem i had was partially my fault, didnt have good air flow, it was sitting on my carpet before i had an entertainment stand for it. so it pretty much overheated.

Whats ythe best way to keep these cool?? NOt like i care bout this one but at the moment its laying flat onto of its box, but its loud as hell , i thought i got alot of noise from fans on my laptop.....

Best buy warranty FTW on this POS .. I d trade it for a ps3 but theres no games, its pricey and i dont like spendin $40 on a bluray movie

I'm sitting at 13.7GB remaining (13.9GB total for storage) with like 10+games on it.

I just stood mine upright and never had any heating problems. Just don't move while its on and something in the disc drive.. not sure if someone told you that yet.

I never had any problems with mine. Already having more problems with my ps3, won't start up with a ps2 game in the drive and some games get choppy.... Kind regret buying it.
