Item(s) for Sale:
Exile Audio X5 Features 3 Way Circuit Protection. Also has 2 thermal sensors while most 5k amps only have 1.
I have owned the amp now for over 7 months.
I am looking to trade or buy a 7k-9k amp obviously will add cash. Looking for an amp that is BROKEN or in rough shape cosmetically so it is cheaper. Not really like for New or like new
Item(s) Description/Condition:
5000RMS @ 1 ohm bench tested and that is @ 12v
5600RMS @ 14.4v
So very similar to an american bass VFL 500.1
Amp is 8.5/10 very clean
1 of the speaker terminals threads is cracked. I don't run my sub speaker wires separately, so it doesn't affect me. But you can put a larger terminal screw in. You can see the crack in the 3rd picture.
The power wire inside the amp was upgraded from 8ga to stinger HPM 4ga.
Amplifier is .5 ohm stable. My buddy who picked up the amp for me ran it at .5 ohms on 4 batteries and a H.O. alt for 6 weeks on 2 Atomic 12s.
Price:
750 plus actual shipping cost. You don't pay a dime over what actual shipping is
Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:
UPS Ground
A nice feature about the amp. Is that it makes a "buzzing" sound when it is clipping. So you can tune the amp without a oscope. Just play a 40hertz test tone, with the speaker wires to the amp unplugged and turn the gain up until you hear it buzzing. It clips right around 3/4 - 2/3 gain.
If you have never heard of Exile Audio. It is a recent company of about 7ish years I believe. It was started buy a few technicians that used to work for phoenix gold and they started there own company

This was before I ever found out about Decaf music.
