WTT: PPI A1200 for any audio stuffs!

This is probably gunna get deleted, but I'm too lazy to redo the whole thread. I just need to get this back up here because I really want something new! I only want to get rid of it because I can't power it with 4ga wiring and only the stock battery :/

The issue with the gain knob that I stated ITT was I believe only because the amp didn't like the pre-amp I had it hooked up to. I had it separately low-passed to a sub, and didn't notice any noise/feedback at all. I will perform another test to assure that it was only because of the pre-amp, and if not, I will replace the gain knob before purchase. I just want something different! I have no use for it besides making it even more white (if you know what I mean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif). Things I need would be a 1-2kwrms amp, some 5.25" comps and 6x9 coaxials, and some 1/0ga, in that order. Things I would really like would be DD equipment, o/s shiz, something that not everybody has, etc. Always wanted to try a DD sub, JL W7, Pioneer TS-W5000, etc. Offer WHATEVER you have, idc. I also can add anything in the link that follows the one to the A1200. My goal is to not pay for my nor your shipping if possible, cuz I'm a broke azz nga!

i got the 504x on ebay for 25 bucks shipped "broken" just so i could have something to fiddle with. I get it inside on the test bench and noticed the fuse was blown. I put a new fuse in it and it works perfect and is in mint condition. LMAO!! Sweet deal dude, that's awesome! I just never liked those amps. The 5540 series was the first step down in quality for Sony, and the 504x was the next step down. Too much like xPlod for my liking.

No way!! The 5540 was good (early 90's) , then came all the champagne colored ones which were EXCELLENT (mid 90's), then came the 504X the year before the xploders and it was ok (late 90's). All japanese made though. No chinese junk.

I believe the 5540's were late 90s, after the champagne. I also thought the red 504x thingy was korean made...

I have a little bronze Sony, similar to the champagne. None compare to my XM-802 and XM-300's though...

No way? The design looks very modern. JVC made amps with the same exact boards. I don't think that's discrediting Sony though. JVC was much better back then.

I got a set of BNIB Massive CK5's - ****** 5.25 with 28MM tweeters and passive crossovers... not your cheap **** here...

I traded a set to ddgalant89 and get got them today and told me they were the best build set he has ever seen. Carbon Fiber cones!!!

1st pic is the 6.5" set but same look as the 5's

2nd is 5.25

They look nice, but I cannot stand metal-composite tweeters. Thanks for the offer!

And for those wondering, one thing I will absolutely not do is a straightup trade for just a pair of speakers. I definitely don't need speakers that nice. Looking more for speakers that perform as well as and and are worth around as much as DD comps and Crescendo's (meaning $100-$150)
