WTT Kenwood x790 for Alpine 9857/similar HU

I'm looking to trade my absolutely mint Kenwood x790 for an Alpine 9857 or similar head unit that controls my iPod a little bit better. I have the iPod cable for the x790 and will include it in the trade. I've heard so many good things about the 9857. I'm looking for a head unit that has a better display, better iPod functionality and that still maintains sound quality with plenty of adjustments. Let me know what you have to offer.
