This thing is a monster and I was gonna use it for a 12 inch sub enclosure or a huge aeroport by rounding the the wood around the pvc in the sub enclosure.

this thing cost me over $145 and I am willing to trade it with some cash for a 4 channel amp, component set, batteries, 0 guage, sound deadner, aeroports or other car audio you may want to trade or get rid of.

Here are some pics of this monster

I know people who know people:D

I can also get ahold of 8 inch ports to which I have used for 1 15 DD sub and flared the wood on the interior and exterior of the port and made it a huge aeroport.

Has anyone ever had experience with using really thick PVC like this to make an enclosure? It would make one hell of a tube for 1 or 2 12's and this stuff is so strong I dont see it flexing at all as it is .50 inch thick!!

No, but many folks use Sonotube for building home subs all the time. I can see this working in a home theater setup quite easily. The thickness for this is overkill as Sonotube is under half the thickness and is made from cardboard. No bracing needed. It won't flex due to its shape. The only concerns you would have are the end caps - make them thick enough and that issue goes away.

Good luck with the sale.

Best,

Mark
