This...although even that isn't necessary as you still don't have any single use at all for more than 4v. Regardless of if you had 16v preouts, the amp is likely to only see less than 4 in the long run.

I highly doubt that.... The amp will see more than 4v, if I use a decent line driver..... But I want less components to deal with and higher preout voltage is the best option

I'm telling you the truf...I would put $10 down that you wouldn't notice the difference between a claimed 8v and a claimed 4v output...

It's not what the voltage is rated at, it's how the amps see the voltage.
