Well i've realized im too poor to get fiberglassed door pods anytime soon, so i might as well just stick with the IB idea for the 8's in my doors. These have 3.75in mounting depths which brings them EXACTLY to where my window is. these were made in 1996-1997, were used for about a year and stored away in an air conditioned house. JL subs surrounds tend to rot with humidity and temperature fluctuations over long term storage. these are probably the mintiest old school JL's ive ever seen. i'd give them a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 on the cosmetics. There's a small scuff on the edge of one's paper gasket, that can be fixedf w/ a little glue and a clamp. the cones are immaculate. there's some dust on the cones from sitting around my living room the past few months but otherwise they are perfect. I really odnt want to part ways with them but I need soemthing that will work better for my doors.
SOOO. i'm looking for a comparable pair of 8's that will do well in IB door install, single 4 ohm (or dual 2), and can take at least 150w. I'd really like a pair of those old kicker 8's that have the carbon fiber cones, but im open to offers.
since im more partial to trades ill say 175 shipped for the pair...throw me some trade offers and we'll work something out. im flexible.
