wtf is this?!!

ok maybe of you actually have some background in medicine or know something about what i might have, because i cant seem to figure this out.

my mother and her husband both had a severe bout with the flu recently. i was lucky enough not to catch it.

but, my stupid *** self acidentally left the windows open in my room on monday night, when the temps dropped drastically. well the next morning i woke up with not a sore throat, but a "dry cough". eventually it turned into a dry cough + head congestion.

this is the weird part. i've had the same symptoms since tuesday (dry cough, head congestion, but no runny nose).. i always expected it to get worse and turn into the flu, but its been DAYS (going on what like day 5 or 6 now) and its the SAME symptoms and it hasnt worsened or got better.

it doesnt seem to be the flu or a cold, because there are other symptoms with both of those. wtf is this and how long will it last? anyone have any idea?

meh, just let it pass. load up on vitamins, hot stuff to open up the passages and all that. worry makes it worse.

if it makes you feel better, physically i feel like ish almost every day. manual labor sux

might have sinus infection in which u usually get post nasal drip which would cause the coughing

how bout go to the doctor and get checked out see if u have a viral or bacterial infection and se if they can give u antibiotics, try the theraflu will help with the head congestion n give couple days see if it clears up

hmmmmmm...... i do have a medical training background..... i'll try to help if i can....

a number of clues help me reach my prognosis.... it's not getting better and it isn't getting worse...... no runny nose.... head congestion is the biggest clue.......
