To be fair, that is how every business in the world calculates what is known as the "fully burdened labor rate" which is very uselful in cost analysis. I don't find issue with making this public. The problem is, those jackasses whining about it don't get the "extra" costs that go into this calculation. If they took a minute to add sick time, vacation time, retiree benefits, insurance, income tax matching, etc into their own wage, they would realize how expensive they are as well.
In essence, from what I have read people are comparing the fully burdened labor rate of one company compared to the wage of another.
