It's inevitable for both GM and Chrysler to enter into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They will have to liquidate unseccessful product lines and may even be forced to merge into 1 company.

Until they can get some relief on their pensionor liabilities (salary + healthcare) then neither company will be competitive in the market; they are not sustainable models.

so all that money just went to the CEO as a bonus for the the end of the year or somthing they would save alot of money if they would find new labor instead of paying union workers 75 bucks a hr for working the line

The bailout money wasn't a guarantee to stay afloat forever. More money isn't the answer.

No I doubt much if any of that went to pay for Corporate Officer bonuses. It went to pay the short-term debts, Unions worker salary, and Pensioner benefits/salary deficit.

You have no concept of the debt they already have, nor how much it takes to run that big of a corporation, so how can you say that?

In any event, they failed many moons ago. Quite possibly before you were even born.

Nobody makes $75 an hour working the on the line.
