Wtf Do I Do?!?!?

I got my 13w7 today, and EVERYTHING is destroyed. The cardboard box was torn to shreds. The wood that housed the sub is broken and cracked into a million pieces. The sub "appears" to be in 1 piece, but i dont know if its fully functional. The sub must have sustained some significant blows judgeing by the condition of the packaging. I have no amp to hook it up though. I called UPS and they are supposed to come pick it up and bench test the sub (i guess). But should i let them do this? Theyll probably have it forever. and also, what are the chances of me even getting any money back if it is damaged? This is rediculous!!

Take it to a local shop, have them test it. Id do that before I let UPS pick it up...

Does it have a warranty?

If UPS distroyed it and it has a warranty it is NOT your responcibility. You need to get into contact with the person you bought it from,

1)find out if you have a warranty

2)find out if the shipper insured it..if it is not insured UPS will only give you

3)get UPS there to inspect and get the claim going depending on weather or not it was insured...

no warranty. bought used from Ronnie_C here at the forum. Ronnie_C has PMed me and im about to check it in a minute. No local shop can test it. They say they can only "pop" it. they have no amp to hook it up to. ANY1 LOCAL WANNA HELP? I need a ~1000w amp to test her. This sux!

You dont need 1kw to "test" it...hook it up to a home receiver and see if it plays.

When the UPS man comes to pick it up, "throw a whole bunch on punches is way" this will let him know you mean business.

What is the coil configure...3ohm? No just dont "crank" it all the way up

edit: nm, wire it to 3 ohms and see if your home reciever will handle it :-/
