WTB/wtt - 12" sub for daily - 1500w @1 ohm load

hello.

I currently have a pair of 10s in my center consil box. they are ok enough.

but only wire to 2 ohms. my amp does 1K @2 and 1500w@1 ohm

and my box is a bit small for a pair of 10s

I can build the correct air space box for a single 12" sub

and this is what I will do if I find the right one to buy / trade for.

my ideal situation - is that you want something I have in partial trade. = I send you my ..... whatever thing - and cash on top of it for your sub.

im not realley that picky - but I dont want a sub with glue blobs all over the dang thing. I am a true bass head. im the jerk who drives around blasting all the time.

I like the feeling of my eyeballs shaking out of my head - and my nostrils vibrating from bass. it exites me and It gives me wood.

so if your sub can do this for me in my single cab chevy pickup - and handle my amps 1500w at 1 ohm load - then id liek to see pixtures of it - and a price shipped to me in south FL. 33063

this is the box design id like to make for the 12"

shooting for 2 to 2.5 cubes net for the sub tuned round 35 hz ish.

here are some items im not using at the moment - that are avalable for trade

Rockford punch 200a1 mono amp - full and lpf capable 2 ohm stable

100w@4 ohms - 200w@2 ohms as stated on the amp - probly does more

I DO HAVE THE END PLATES FOR IT. they are in the garage. and are included.

rockford fosgate 2600x series 1

old school - and verry small fully functional. I used it for a bit powering a portable stereo run @ 2 ohms per channel. it worked flawlesly and sounded great

component set :

5.25 infinity 5000cs - textile dome edege driven tweets - still in factory baggies. mids are missing the covers / grilles for them. crossovers / all the tweeter mounting crap. all there - nevery been installed. never been powered.

old school boom box radio.

magnavox D8443 / takes 8 d batterys / has wall plug - radio works super - picks up fm stations realley nice. tape player needs new belts. but it plays the ghetto magnetic tape you plug your I pod in to fine since the wheels do not need to turn on it.

has line imput rca spots. to use line imputs you press play and pause on the tape.

box is in nice condition. no missing buttons - battery tray is clean. battery cover is there and not broken. center speaker is an 8" the two outside speakers are 6.5"

Are you serious ? how many speakers or subs have you owned? I know people that run 2x the rated rms on all types of speakers....its how you use it and also if its clean power

the sub will take more than that...if you dont beleive me then you need to ask the other owners of the sub.

I can get some info from the PG forum...

that 600rms means nothing...its a well made competition type sub...not some crap sub...

if you need more info then let me know. it is one of the best subs you can buy for less than $300

I know lots of guys who still run old school Phoenix Gold amps and they put out real power and they run the RSDC and with more than 600...

matter of fact I am going to go over there now and ask them

i have a tc9 based d2 12 rated at 1k but i ran it off a 1500w amp for a while and it tokk it fine. although i suggest you stay with 2-10's more cone area just get some sweet 10's and run the amp at .5ohm or 1ohm if you dont want to risk it but saz amps are usually good for it

I just read your post again....what kind of amp is this your running? 1k @ 2ohms...... with my rsdc12 you would be running less than that but with very little power the rsdc sub gets loud as its super efficient...94 db sn ratio

I have a hifonics bx1605d - hifonics says 1100w@2 and 1600w@1 but I suspect its over rated a little - - and I have a saz1500d

the hifonics is in the truck now - and the saz is scheduled to go in my 72 plymouth to run my 18" once I get more welding work done for the hydraulics.

I just measured - there is no way I can put a 15 in my cab unless I do some realley funny fiberglass type work that im not so much intrested in doing atm.

you guys r saying pair of 10s over a single bad *** 12 ?

thats wahat my old school jbl subs r now. single 4 each - and im probly feeding them a bit more than im suposed to.

they do go nicely off about 1k at the pair - but probly will die eventually off the bx cause its so clean lol

but im trying to use what my chitty amp can do - so id like 1 ohm final load

I simply do not have enough room to properly run a pair of 12s with my center consil type box. there is NO room behind my seats to use at all.

and I could build a better box for a pair of better 10s than I have now - but the airspace would be right at the edege of being on the small side still .... is why I wanted to aquire a single bad to the bone 12" to use

i have 10's in my car now i would take a good set of 10's over a single 12 anyday the only problem is two subs tends to cost you more
