WTB: Video Card

PCI-E x16 (which is whats used for videocards) is pretty new, and is a lot longer than AGP or PCI. You're SOL for the most part as far as finding something thats better in PCI for videocards. Get a new computer. Need one b/c I have one for sale. PM me for details.

Now Im Looking FOR A a video card i got PCI EXPRESS SLI both for x4 and x16 post what u have thanks.

preferably i want PCI-E 16x //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wats the difference between PCI and PCI express? my dad said to get PCI

The huge difference is the bus speed and bandwidth for said Slot used, I.E PCI, AGP, PCI - E.

PCI isn't used really anymore because the bus speed was 33mhz and 32 bits per second. The bandwidth was 132MB/sec

which you can figure out yourself because 33 x 4 bytes(32 bits) = 132.

AGP on the other hand had 4 standards. AGP 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x

1x was 266MB/sec

2x was 533MB/sec

4x was 1.06GB/sec

8x was 2.12GB/sec

as you can clearly see the first gen AGP was already better than PCI.

Now I forgot much of what I learned about PCI - E but you can read about it here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express

So as you can see, your dad (I'm sorry to say) has no idea what he's talking about.
