Im looking to buy a pair of tweeters to replace my Alpine SPX-F17T tweets. One of them is toast. I dont want nothing harsh or cheap. Ill spend up to $100 bucks.

First on my list is the Alpine SPX-17pro's, or Alpine SPX-???? Just hit me with anything. 4 ohms

Im going to be running 75watts tri-amped, with plans to go active in the near future.

u might look into some CaL 25's or NX30's...it's gonna be tough to find a tweeter for under a $100 that's not going to be either:

a) harsh

b) bulky

c) 4ohm

i'd look for the ones i mentioned above used.

I would recommend checking out the seas neo tweets at madisound. They have an aluminum and silk version for $33 apiece or so.

here are the aluminums:

i have a set of these in my wife's car, and i run the SPX-Pro tweets in my car. I really like both, and many people love these tweets. If something happened to my pros, i would be fairly satisfied to have the seas. They are four ohm. In general, the aluminums get better reviews than the silk.

another option is the vifa ring radiator:

very similar to the spx pro ring radiators. Vifa and Scanspeak are the same company, and it is reported that the spx pros are based on the scan version of this tweet.

good luck!

Thanks for the info. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I hope to get my hands on some SPX Pro's
