Hey everyone, I’m new here. I bought this truck about a year ago, with a broken radio, I swapped that out for a $20 head unit which served me great for a year. Evidently the speakers from 1987 did not enjoy being cranked up to some bass heavy music. I swapped in some kicker DS speakers in the doors and rear car corners, but now I don’t have enough power to run them over 25% volume. (The stereo is like 14w rms)
I am a car guy and I checked all my harnesses I made with an ohm meter before installing so it’s not a connection issue. Anyway, I think a head unit with an internal amp would be a good fit for me. Unfortunately they don’t sell them anymore. If anybody has one kicking around I’d be interested in it
